Roadbook Planner is operated by Ricardo Fernandes, Rua de São Bento 36, Boieira, 2480-073 Juncal, Portugal (tax number 206240074). Using the service means accepting these terms. Questions go to ricardojoaomail@gmail.com.
Roadbook Planner takes a GPX route file and helps you turn it into a day-by-day plan: distances, stops, breaks, arrival times. It is a planning tool. It is not a navigation system and does not give directions.
Ride your own ride.
Everything this tool produces is an estimate built from the file you gave it. Distances come from the geometry in your GPX and may differ from real road distance. Times assume an average pace and cannot know about traffic, weather, roadworks, closures, your bike or how you feel that afternoon.
Nothing here tells you it is safe to ride, safe to continue, or legal to travel at any particular speed. Those judgements are yours alone, made on the road. Never read a plan while riding. Obey speed limits and traffic law. Stop when you are tired, whatever the plan says.
You need an account to save routes and sync them between devices. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give us an email address that works — it is how we reach you about your account. One person, one account.
Pro is currently free for everyone while the product is in open beta. When the paid version launches, free features keep working and the paid ones stop until you buy. The paid version is a one-off payment, not a subscription; there is nothing to cancel and nothing recurring.
We are not taking payments yet. While that is the case, Pro is free for everyone and there is nothing to buy. Anyone who registers an account before the paid version launches keeps a founder price of €10 rather than €25.
When payment does open, it will be handled by Stripe. We will never see or store your card details.
As an EU consumer you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a digital purchase. Because access is immediate, that right ends once you start using the paid features — but we would rather have a happy rider than a forced sale, so if it isn't what you expected, write to us within 14 days and we will refund you.
The GPX files you upload and the roadbooks you build stay yours. We store them only to give them back to you. We claim no ownership and will not use them for anything else.
The software, design and text of Roadbook Planner remain ours.
Don't attempt to break into the service or other people's accounts, resell access, scrape it in bulk, or upload anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does.
This is a small independent product. We aim to keep it running and will give reasonable notice before any planned interruption, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Keep your own copy of any GPX file that matters to you — export or print your plan before a trip rather than relying on the site being reachable from the road.
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for decisions made on the basis of an estimate this tool produced, or for anything that happens while riding. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by us.
Close your account whenever you like by writing to us. We may close an account that breaks these terms. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give notice and time to export your data.
These terms may change. Account holders are told by email when they do in a way that matters, and the date at the top always shows the current version.
Portuguese law applies, and the Portuguese courts have jurisdiction. As a consumer you keep the protections of your own country's law. EU consumers may also use the Online Dispute Resolution platform.
